WUFC consists of 7 committees all focused on providing exceptional finance content to Penn undergraduates.
The investment team is dedicated to providing members with deep knowledge on a wide range of topics within finance. The group has a strong culture of mentorship and professional guidance.
The Case Team aims to educate members on the fundamentals of finance and accounting. The team is open to members from all schools, years, and knowledge levels and aims to leave them with a strong foundation in finance.
The Quantitative Finance Committee is built upon the theory of combining mathematics and engineering into the world of finance. We discuss topics like market-making, portfolio optimization, and statistical arbitrage and how they are used to generate above average returns in the stock market. We simultaneously strive to prepare all members for placement at top quantitative finance firms through in depth technical question practice.
The Capital Advisory Committee collaborates with partners in the financial services industry to host educational projects for members. We aim to bring to members rigorous, real-world experiences of working in the finance industry.
The Corporate Relations team is the link between WUFC and its sponsor firms. We seek to diversify and increase our sponsors' with the aim of providing our club members with more access to the financial industry. With more sponsors, we look forward to organizing and facilitating events like speaker pannels, office treks, and our annual Wharton Finance Conference. As a member you can help build the community of firms that sponsor our club and work directly with people at these firms.
The Marketing Committee is divided into two branches: Communications and Design. Communications is in charge of executing the promotion of events and WUFC’s brand. Design works to create the designs for marketing materials (graphic design, video, or photography) for WUFC events and corporate sponsors. Combined, the marketing committee uses design and strategy to further WUFC’s mission of enhancing the financial knowledge and interest of our members and the broader Penn community.
The Events committee creates, arranges, & executes an array of events, allowing students to explore the finance industry and learn from individuals at the pinnacle of their field. The committee helps students discover future career paths and connect with prominent professionals while teaching them key planning and organizational skills.
